  As soon as we met the captain, we felt comfortable. He was so calm and very friendly. He gave us a briefing on safety and the area where we were going to fish. We caught multiple different species of fish including a shark. The water was a little bit choppy, but i expected that in an open ocean. The captain is so knowledgeable about the sea and with the fishing techniques. He is also kind enough to hook up baits for us. Once again thank you so much for giving us such an incredible time out on the water and for being patience.

  Full Day Outer Reef Private on September 22, 2026 • 3 adults

  Great day out with my 2 sons, first time on the outer reef. Shawry was excellent, put us in the right spots at the right times and helped us with his knowledge and expertise all day. Caught a good variety and good size Coral Trout and Emperor’s for tea. Thanks Shawry, can’t wait for the next trip.

  3/4 Day Trip – Coastal Reef Private on April 1, 2026 • 5 adults

  I had my son and two sons in law with me and had a great experience on the ocean and river system. The conversation with an experienced salty who knows people nearly as well as his fishing knowledge is worth the time on its own. We were aware the conditions were not great but the Skipper worked hard for us. If anyone is thinking about fishing this part of Australia Hooked Up is the perfect family charter to use.

  Half Day Trip – Coastal Share 11:30 on June 16, 2026 • 2 adults

  Fantastic day on the river with Shawry. It was my partners first time fishing and between us we pulled in some good size bream and a puffer. Shawry was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. I’d recommend this charter for anyone looking for a small group session. We will 100% return for another trip!
