My family and I had the time of our lives out on the Legacy with Captain Lathan and First Mate Jackson — two men who clearly came out of the womb knowing how to fish 😂🐟

We’re from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 so naturally we pulled up thinking we were about to show them how we do things. We even tried it… and Captain Lathan just gave us that “I told y’all so” smile 😅 Let’s just say he was 100% right, and we learned real quick that North Carolina fish do NOT care about Bahamian techniques.

But the laughs? Nonstop. The vibes? Immaculate. The boat? Beautiful. The crew? Elite.

This company is family‑oriented, professional, down‑to‑earth, and just plain fun. They treated us like family, taught us new tricks, and made sure we had a day we’ll be talking about for YEARS.

I would recommend Captain Lathan, Jackson, and the Legacy 100 times over — and yes, we’re already planning to go back 🙌💙

Lathan and Jackson worked all day to put us on the fish.  Although they weren’t jumping in the boat, everyone got a chance to boat a Mahi.  Been out several times with the Legacy and have always returned happy!!!

Went out on July 4th for a half day trolling with Captain Lathan and Mate Jackson with my wife and son (12).  Boat location is easy to find and near the fishing area for near shore fishing so no lost transit time.  We had an exceptional experience and caught over 40 fish.  The crew was very knowledgeable and gave us pointers and suggestions along the way.  We would certainly go back out with them and suggest you give them a try.

Our teenage son wanted to catch fish on vacation and this was the perfect tour to do so! The crew was ready on arrival and we fished from the time we left the dock to the time we returned.  Lost count of how many fish we caught but the action was non-stop. The crew was available to make the experience a great one! Would definitely book again!
