I have been coming to Destin for over 35 Years and never miss a chance to go deep sea fishing when its red Snapper season however on this particular trip I was highly disappointed with this trip. First of all the Captain of the boat Vera Marie seemed to lack the experience it takes to handle large watercraft, used up most of our fishing time trying to manuver the boat around potential fishing spots, constantly unable to keep the boat in one place which only gave us enough time to drop the line in the water for a minute or two before we were told to reel them in, before the captain took off again to another spot, out of the 6 hour tour we spent approximately 30 minutes fishing, only to catch nothing! The boat was extremely overcrowded, lines continously kept getting crossed and tangled up, a couple of the deck hands were new, and were not able to tie a fishing knot if their life depended on it, one extremely rude hand was shouting at my wife because she wanted a 16 oz sinker like the ones everyone else had, and he couldnt untie the hay knot he tied the 20 oz sinker on her rod to begin with, I had to do it. The other deck hands complained that the new hands didnt know how to tie a knot and had found dozens of mistied hooks and weights. This is Worst fishing trip I have ever been on !
