Rough waters but captain Bernie and deckhand Mark made sure to take care of us the best they could and made the most out of the trip and helped catch a bunch of fish!

This was our second experience deep sea fishing (the other was a different company), and this was the best yet! It was my dad’s first time and on this bucket list, and they did not disappoint. We had a blast, while Bernie put us 7 in great fishing spots and Mark was very quick, attentive and fun! The a.c helped on the hottest part of the day and the bigger boat helped with the wave movements. I look at reviews before doing anything, and if your reading this…book this boat!

We were greeted early by Mark and then met captain Bernie!  Drove out for a hour and Killed it fishing!  Mark was amazing and kept us all with a rod and reel in hand!  Our first spot we were brining them in 2 at a time!  Second spot not so much and Captain Bernie was ready to move on quickly!  We then hit another hit spot!  And it was game on!  More fish!  Mark cleaned them and we will have many meals for a couple of days!  Great trip and knowledgeable team!!  Personable too!

Overall the trip was not that enjoyable, the first mate was rude and condescending. We had a total of 7 people on the trip three of them have never been deep sea fishing before so we told him they had never been and his instructions were vague and uninformative. And on the way back as we were enjoying the ride back on deck he made us go sit inside so he could clean the deck so he wouldn’t have to do once we got in. I’ve been on at least ten deep sea trips in various parts of Florida and Alabama and have never had that done before.

The boat is nice but no ac. They did have fans on but if it were in the heat of summer it would have been hard to get out of the heat for a bit. The canopy over the back deck is spot on. Every boat should have one. Being able to sit out on the deck and still be covered by shade is remarkable. The skipper could lighten up a bit and not be so demanding when someone doesn’t get how to do something right away. I had guest that had never fished before and the reason to have a private charter was so they wouldn’t feel pressure but the skipper would get frustrated when anyone didn’t get it exactly right. Over it was a good trip and everyone had a good time. If you have sensitive feelings you may want to look for another charter.
