My kids and I make it a tradition to book a fishing trip whenever we travel, and this was by far the most amazing one we’ve ever experienced.
The scenery was absolutely majestic. The water was a deep blue that you only find in nature, and the fish were biting all morning. Captain Jeff and Dylan were fantastic with my kids—patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. They taught us about the area, helped us land some large… very large… Chinook salmon, and made the entire experience unforgettable.
Because of the season, we had to release a few incredible fish, but that just gives us another reason to come back. The coho we were able to keep was expertly filleted, and we enjoyed it that same day. It was some of the best salmon we’ve ever eaten.
While the fishing itself was outstanding, the moment my kids will remember most was getting to take the helm and steer the boat for a minute. That was the very first thing they excitedly told my wife when we got back.
I can’t say enough good things about Captain Jeff, Dylan, and the entire team at Axis. If we’re ever back in the area, they’ll be our first call. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing experience.
