My young sons and I have enjoyed multiple shark fishing trips in the Calibogue and near shore Atlantic with the Dolphin Discoveries team. This time we chartered with Brian, who helped us reel in two sharpnose and two bonnetheads. Too much fun!
I threw out a request to go after some reds cause they are in full swing this time of year ( early September). Also, this would be my kids first fishing carter so I kept it to 3 hrs. Heath called me after booking said he could accommodate even though it was primarily a shark charter (super nice guy btw!). Captain Shep delivered!!! we got into a good half dozen of reds in a short amount of time. He had them figured out. Captain Shep was great with my kids (8&4) and came with agreat personality. Book the trip have an adventure.
The captain was great, even with low tide and some challenging weather, he was able to get us to some great spots to catch sharks! Was able to catch a hammerhead, bonnet head and a few other sharks. Our kids had a great time (was the best part of our vaca)! We were also able to see several dolphins up close, which was awesome!
I would highly recommend booking a trip with Dolphin Discoveries. We had a great Shark fishing trip with Captain Craig today. He shared a lot of fun facts about the area and made the trip fun for everyone, even the teen girls. It would be great to come back when the water is warmer to catch even more sharks.

Capt. Shep was incredibly knowledgeable about where to fish, and made the day so fun! Even when the weather started to turn bad, Capt Shep was able to find a safe cove for us to catch some monster fish in. Would highly recommend!
