Great Captain, great 1st mate, great boat.

Full Day Trip4 adults

We had a beautiful day on the water with Captain John, and 1st mate John. Very professional, friendly, and they worked hard, well in to overtime to get us a marlin, but it wasn’t to be. We did land 4 small tuna, and lost a couple of other’s at the boat. If you are going to fish out of Kona, you won’t be disappointed with Silky Sportfishing.

    Big boat and knowledgable crew

    We were 3 adults and a 9 year old boy who really wanted to catch a fish. The boat was bigger than we expected. The crew seemed most interested in big fish, Marlin, at first. That’s Understandable. This is big fish country. Once they realized the importance of the trip to my grandson, they focused on making his day, which made the rest of us very joyful. They know what they’doing and he got to reel in a Mahi. We went 2 for 3 on Mahi and 0 for 1 on something bigger. It looked at our lure twice, but never took it. it was exciting. We saw whales and fish jumping everywhere. It’s was all that we expected in a fishing trip.

    awesome 1st trip

    my son and i wanted to do big game fishing while we were here and finding and looking for good reviews can be tricky. so we looked at all the reviews and went with slky sportfishing. captain george was great and jake who set up fishing rigs was amazing. we caught 1 blue marlin abour 200lbs and we were hooked. we were hoping for more but we still got 1. amazing trip, scenery, and crew we will definetly vook again when we come back.

    Family of 5 fishing experience

    The boat was plenty big to accommodate our group. Thunderstorms rolled in halfway through our trip, but that didn't stop David & Tara from working their tails off to put us on fish. They definitely have a passion for chasing fish. We caught 1 Mahi Mahi during our trip. David filleted the fish for us, and we had enough meat for several family dinners. I would fish with these two again given the opportunity. Thank you for all your hard work 👊

    Silky Smooth Day on the water

    we had a great day on the water as a family of 4. fhe captian and William were extremely friendly and made us all feel comfortable on board. we had a beautiful day with sunshine and calm water. We spent fhr first few hours fishing and then we snorkeled around captian cook area and then tried more fishing. We had a couple nibbles but unfortunately we didn’t catch anything. Sometimes that happens! We still enjoyed our day and the experience overall.

    this wa sour swcond outing with silky and tjough we disnt catch any fish this time the say was beautiful and the crew was friendly. they gave fold recommendations and chated worh us about fishing things and island stuff. We will hopefully get to fish with them again next time!
