I took my step dad out on his first fishing trip in the Gulf.  Something he now is able to check off his “bucket list”  unfortunately,  the fish didn’t have our same goals in mind. The wind was also, not cooperating.  We caught a few shark, some small catfish, and a baby flounder.  We were not able to keep much that we caught,  but we both had a great time. 

Captian Joel is a very nice man.  2020 has been a bad year for everyone,  yet he tried his best to make this experience for my step dad they best possible trip.

It was like he wasn’t equipped to catch big fish, reels had old line, and he wasn’t really concerned with catching big fish. He only brought a cooler for all our catch, which ended up being enough because we caught - good bull red and a nice size trout and that’s it besides a couple of bait fish

We caped off our vacation with a fishing trip ( me and my son)  with CPT Joel on 8 July 2020. He was waiting for us on the boat at 0700 ready to go, equipped with live shrimp.  He was very knowledgeable about fishing AND his spots.  We caught so many fish of many species and a 3 foot hammerhead shark caped the day off ams we’re tired of reeling. We will try his deep sea fishing trip (we did on shore). next time we come. Thank you CPT Joel !!

Captain Joel was awesome. He put us on fish early and often. His gear was reliable, the boat was comfortable, and Captain Joel accommodated all fishing experience levels on the boat. Can’t way to go again.
