Captain Pete’s Fish Tales charter service was a really good experience. The captain and his mate were incredible with our 3 year old on his first boat ride. They engaged with him and allowed him to ask questions while letting him feel out fishing in the ocean. The fishing was tough but we were able to catch whiting, weak fish, and some sea bass. We pulled crab pots and dug for clams all which were successful endeavors while learning about the local fauna. Thanks for a great trip.

Due to weather conditions our trip was cut short, however the experience was great. We were advised that fishing conditions were not great ahead of time but we decided to still go. Captain Chris and first mate Ronnie made the trip completely worthwhile. We learned so much about their area and their fishing experiences. Their “fishing tales” were outstanding. That was the most enjoyable part. Please note, they only accept cash or credit cards ( with a 2% surcharge) so plan ahead. We will be booking another charter in the future!

Took a charter with Andrew , we had such a great time . Him and his mate Ashley were both very knowledgeable about the area , local fishing , and really made it a memorable experience. The trip swas super affordable , relaxed , and they really made it easy .We weren’t having any luck but they continued to relocate until we landed some NICE fish . We look forward to coming back and making this apart of our yearly vacation.

Made a reservation with some trepidation as I’m not an adventurous kind of gal.  Brought my 2 teens and elderly mom.  3 of us fished.  The captain and first mate were friendly and put us all at ease.  They were helpful, knowledgeable,  and the captain’s jokes were sort of funny at times.  Came away from the experience with 2 sharks and a bunch of kingfish, lots of laughs and wonderful memories!  Would definitely go again!

Captain Chris and First Mate Matt were great guides!  We caught one shark and had 3 bites that got away— exciting nonetheless!  We caught a number other fish while we were waiting for bites on the shark lines.  We had a lot of laughs, learned some new “dad” fishing jokes and learned a lot of neat things about the Chincoteague area.  Highly recommend!  We went with our 19 and 20 year old kids and they loved it too.
