Great fishing trip!ย Highly recommend Sea Dolphin Charters and Captain Gerald!
We enjoyed our experience with Captain Gerald.ย He was knowledgeable about Amelia River, its history and finding fishing spots.ย We went on the 3 hour trip with just myself and 10 year old and he helped her to reel in a 1.5 foot Bonnet head shark, 2 Whiting, and a 4 foot Black tip.ย We were hoping to catch more edible fish, but thatโs the game.ย It was not disappointing at all really.ย We were happy just catching anything.ย It was hot today at the end of June, but the breeze was great.ย He had lots of rods, bait, and gear.ย A very personable man who made us very comfortable on the waters.ย I would highly recommend.ย We even saw dolphins.ย A fun experience. This was our first time fishing as a family, and it did not disappoint! We knew that going in the off-season meant beautiful weather but fewer fishโbut our very first catch was a hammerhead shark! Our boys were absolutely elated, and it instantly became the highlight of the trip.
After that, the bites slowed down, but Gerald went above and beyond to find the perfect spots. He pointed out landmarks along the way, like the Georgia naval base and Fort Clinch, which made the experience even more fun and informative. We ended the day catching a few more fish and even got to take some home for dinner.
The best part, though, was Geraldโs energy and camaraderie. He made the entire outing memorable, and we couldnโt have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend!

From the minute we got on the boat, Gerald made sure our crew ( 2 adults and a 10 and 9yr old) had a great experience. Whether it was story-telling or the 5 sharks that were caught, everyone enjoyed themselves!
Captain Gerald Wilder was the Best!ย He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very friendly.ย My grandson caught many Whiting fish and a SHARK. Great memories were made today thanks to Captain Gerald
I canโt express how much fun we had. Our Captain Gerald was fantastic. He was such a joy and our kids warmed up to him instantly. He did a great job explaining the surroundings, made the best of our experience, and had so much patience showing the kids how to fish. Their year was made on this trip. We cannot wait to go again.
