Meeting Neil, Mickey and Claudio was a pleasure, A bright, enthusiastic and capable crew that feels like a family. The day starts with a short safety brief and technique refresher/teach that is amended to suit the needs of all anglers from beginner to calloused old hand. Madeira is not the easiest place to fish, but the possible reward of a lifetime best enhances the experience, today however it was not meant to be. Instead of a large fish I am left with the fond memories of a great day filled with warmth, banter and humour, spent with a crew that could not have tried harder to get me a fish. The perfect review was only thwarted by the elusive fish.
