20-30mph winds and cloudy, combined with first time on a charter.  I was anxious. When we met w/Capt. Russ,  he gave us a brief explanation of his game plan and he ansewerd a few questions.  We set off.  2hrs in, weather getting worse, we are casting in our 3rd spot. After a few minutes, bang, 29in red. Then the reds started hitting. My friend and I limited out in 2 hrs. Even though the wheather was bad enough a fishing tournament got canceled, Capt. Russ got us on the fish. He kept bait on the hooks and gave clear direction where to cast. I’m certain without his knowledge and expertise, we would not have caught any fish today. “...put it in the cooler!”

Although the heat & other conditions has made fishing the past few weeks tough in the area, Russ knew where to take us and be able to almost catch our limit in trout. We caught a lot that were barely under. He’s very knowledgeable of the area, and the fish. So much so that he could tell us what we caught before even reeling it in. Very nice guy and very professional. 10/10 recommend!

We fished three days out of Aransas Pass with three different guide on June 9-11.  No one was catching many fish.

We fished on a windy high-pressure day with Captain Russ and he consistently put us on fish.
We didn’t catch our limits of keeper sized fish but we had a good time and the captain, his equipment and knowledge of the area was first class.  We will fish with him again on our next trip.

Our guide was very knowledgable and I was completely comfortable in knowing he was going to do the very best he could to make sure we had a great time, in addition to catching something. My husband and I ended up maxing out trout limit! Fantastic time and we learned alot to boot.
We definately are looking forward to fishing with him again😀
