I recently had the pleasure of booking a last-minute fishing trip with Captain Rio Adventures, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. Captain Rio was not only great company but also extremely knowledgeable about the best fishing spots in the area. Despite the short notice, he took the time to teach my son and his friends various fishing techniques, making the trip educational and enjoyable for everyone.

Captain Rio’s expertise and guidance made him stand out as the best charter boat captain we have ever encountered. His passion for fishing was evident, and he shared his wealth of knowledge with us throughout the trip. We were thrilled when we managed to catch a wide variety of fish, including a massive 40+ pound Goliath grouper. It was a remarkable achievement that we will never forget.

I booked a charter with Captain Rio for myself, husband, 2 teenage daughters and my father. We took the early slot and had a wonderful morning of fishing. Captain Rio is very knowledgeable and a life long fisherman. He taught my girls all about fishing and was always there with a helpful hand and a great fishing story. We caught plenty of fish and my youngest daughter was the winner of the day with most fish caught. Captain Rio cleaned our fish and sent us along with some great family memories. Next time we are in town will definitely give book with him.

First time ocean fishing with our twin 10yos and 7yo and Captain made it so easy and enjoyable. Kids all caught multiple fish and multiple species, the boat was pristine, and the captains patience and kindness to our novice fisher kids (and adults!) made the entire experience so enjoyable. Kids wanted us to book again immediately! We will be back next time we are in town!

Rio’s boat was super clean!  He was very entertaining and my family of 6 had an awesome time!  Four hours goes by real quick!!  We hit two spots in that time.

Rio was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had about Marco, fishing, gear choices, shore rigs, etc.

My son caught his first Goliath grouper!  We also caught sea trout, tons of lady fish, one flounder, and a stingray.  We saw dolphins and stingrays too!

My wife, daughters (6 and 9) and I spent 6 hours fishing with Captain Rio. We had an amazing time with him. We caught a variety fish from catfish and grouper, to sharks and tarpon! If we had a line in the water, we were catching fish. We are from the Midwest and have very little experience fishing for saltwater fish, so I enjoyed Captain Rio’s willingness to teach us new things and allowing me to get my hands dirty while trying out these newly taught skills.

Captain Rio was ready to go as soon as we arrived at his boat. You can tell he takes great pride in his boat and it is very well kept. He also did a great job having my daughters out with us. As any parent knows, it is great to see your kids having fun and the person you are with having fun with them.
