Full Day Trip – Taboga Island5 adults

We had a great trip. Warm reception and a lot of time fishing. We caught a few spanish mackerel right from the start but most of the day was trolling without success.. Thats the breaks!!! Got some great pictures of a large group of Dolphins and had a little place on Taboga Island fix up our catch to eat. Miguel offered a lot of information about Panama, the canal and set us up at a nice cove for a swim and fixed up some great ceviche using some of our fresh catch..

    Great Day, Great Crew, Tight Lines

    Half Day Trip (morning session) • 2 adults

    Captain Miguel and First Mate Lino were both wonderful - friendly, engaging and full of knowledge about Panama, the local waters, wildlife, history, and of course the best way to catch some fish! We ran 30 minutes past the cargo ships at the canal entrance to the 100' drop where we trolled and hooked up a black fin tuna in about 5 minutes. Bites were steady over the next 90 minutes and we boated 4 tuna, and a nice sized Mahi. Lino filleted the fish for us, and we ended up having a little sashimi and ceviche mid-morning. Wow! It was getting hot, so we ran to Taboga for a quick look around, then back in. Peak Panama!

    What a great outing! By 8 AM we had already caught so many fish that it was getting old, so we moved on to search for more elusive fish. My son was really hoping to catch a mahi mahi like he had years ago. While he didn't get one, we did end up catching 3 different species. Our captain, Miguel, was great! He served us fresh tuna sashimi right on the boat. When we stopped at Taboga for lunch, the restaurant he took us to cooked up some of our tuna for us as well. It was cool seeing so many different types of ships throughout the day and learning more about what each was carrying. Thank you for a memorable day!

    Great day on the water!

    Full Day Trip – Taboga Island • 2 adults

    Captain Miguel and mate Pooras were great ! They know how to fish , very informative on the country and wonderful hospitality !! Caught large sail fish and a Mahi which we had delicious ceviche with on board and some for lunch at Toboga Island . Also caught a tuna of which they fixed some sashimi with and also a grouper. Had several more fish on line that spit the hook before I got them on board. Couldn’t have been happier with the experience on the Blue Lobster with Miguel and Pooras . I would recommend the 8 hour charter because every part of it was great ! I would not want to have missed out on any of the wonderful experience they gave me !! What a day on the water !!!

    Everyone’s favorite part!

    Half Day Trip (afternoon session) • 6 adults

    We had the best time on our fishing trip. The boat ride out was fast and super fun. Miguel and Boris set up all the fishing equipment while we just enjoyed ourselves. Once a fish bit, it was our time to shine. At one point all 4 lines had a fish. They guided us and cheered us on as we reeled them in. We caught 8 fish total, 1 being a mahi mahi. Boris cleaned it right on the boat and we had fresh ceviche within minutes. Would take this trip 100 times over. We had a blast. Huge shout out to Miguel and Boris for making it memorable.

    Slow day, but determined crew

    Full Day Trip – Taboga Island • 1 adult

    I booked the 8-h tour, hoping to get some Mahi Mahi or Sailfish - After a promising start the action died down. Captain Miguel and Lino made every effort to get me on some fish, but it was just one of those days. They are very knowledgeable about the area's flora and fauna as well as the country - so I learned a lot and did see some great wildlife while trying to get something on the line. Cpt Miguel constantly explained his gameplan and in the last hour we finally hit fish. Jack and Spanish Mackerel found their way into the boat and I enjoyed a nice sashimi. Overall a great experience. Can't blame tour operator or crew for a slow day and the garbage floating in the water which caused a 4 star review.
