First up, we had no issues with Captain John or his Mate Hunter. They made us feel very welcome and really did all the work. My booking stated “A 4-hour trip targeting Flounder, Sheepshead, Striper/Rockfish, Blue, Puffer, and Croaker.” So I was a bit surprised to see us going for sharks and rays. I’ve fished enough in my life to know you have to go with what the locals know/do so I figured that was what our best chance for action was for this day. Sorry for the miscommunication. We targeted sharks and rays because of the conditions that day the water was dirty and there was a lot of boat traffic (that’s why I offered the ocean) we wanted to get you on fish. That way instead of nobody catching fish at least we got two. Thank you for fishing with us and the feedback.

I planned this trip to go fishing with my father who is in his 80’s and his health is rapidly declining. Both Captain John and Hunter really worked at to make it a great day. I wasn’t really sure what to expect since it was my first time on a charter trip. I was just hoping to get 1 last memorable trip with my father. Then we caught a 25” flounder. my father fought it but couldn’t get it in. I was able to finish getting to the boat. Hunter cut it up and we got 4 really nice size filets.
