We had a great time out on the water with Captain Syd. I booked a morning back bay trip with my dad and my kids (10 and 8). My kids have never fished from a boat, I have some experience and my dad has a lot more. Syd explained to us not just the technique we'd be using to catch flounder, but also why it worked, which my curious kids loved. He was happy to answer the million questions that my kids had about all kinds of topics, some fishing related and some not. I'd highly recommend booking with Mod Squad if you are fishing with kids or people with varied levels of experience. Syd has a ton of knowledge and is happy to share it, so I'm sure that he can provide a great experience for seasoned anglers as well.
Our family had an incredible day with ModSquad Fishing Charter! We caught more flounder than we could count, and the action was nonstop from the time we got on the fish. Capt. We booked this trip for my father’s 80th birthday and we all had a great time. Captain Syd and first mate Dylan were amazing. Syd was very knowledge and got us on fish quickly. He loved educating us on the details of fishing, but also loved to have fun and get to know us. He talked to my son about their same favorite music, talked to my brother about boats, shared stories with my father, and talked with me about my job. We also all caught flounder and a couple sand sharks as well as a sea urchin. I want to come back every year with Syd and make it a tradition. Shout out to Dylan who never stopped helping us and always had a smile.
Great communication from Capt. Sid. Clear, timely, rapid and robust. Marina and boat easy to find. Boat was in great shape- well cared for. First mate Dylan was great= friendly and capable, eager to help. Captsain knew the waters and the target. Both were fantastic to the little ones we brought with us- 8 and 6 years old. Caught over 20 flounder on a 3-hour backbay trip kids caught the most!)...sadly none of them keepers. Kudos to Sid for holding the line on the rules. I really appreciate integrity on the water. Will definitely book Mod Squad when I return.
Captain Syd and First Mate Dillon were awesome. Great instructions for the kids in the beginning of the trip and super helpful throughout. Mt Brother and I took two kids each. Caught a decent amount of flounder on the Bay and the kids and adults both had a blast. Dolphins sighting was a big highlight and Captain Syd was kind enough to pivot our drift for a couple minutes to watch them. Highly recommended!
