What a great morning, met at the Harbour.  Off we went nice and early had bites right away! Caught 4 huge chinook salmon. Very knowledgeable and had great chats. Boat was awesome and fulfilled our needs. We had 2 adults and one 12 year old . Had all the gear to pull in the big salmon. Saw sea lions, eagles and a tug boat bringing in logs to shore. Would highly recommend Bob and BobKatz charter in Port Alberni.

So glad we picked Captain Bob for fishing experience, he has a huge amount of experience and local knowledge of fishing and local history. We didn’t catch our limit, but we caught some nice fish and did better than most that were complaining of lack of action. All in all, we had a great day and learned some more techniques on catching fish in an area we hadn’t tried before and for Sockeye, which is the last Salmon Species on our fishing bucket list.. Thank you Bob for a great day.

Bob knew exactly what gear to use and where to take us. He led us right onto the sweet spot and when things slowed down he made adjustments and we just continued catching till we limited out both days. Overall i would say Bob is a true pro with a lifetime of experience, and i would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

We came up from the US and fished with Bob for sockeye. Had a great time, got into fish first thing and had a fun day. He’s a good guy to chat with and learn about the area. Would book again if we come back next year.
