It was a beautiful, busy morning on La Rana with Captain Rene. He put us on fish almost immediately… red grouper, parrotfish, blue striped grunt, white grunt, and a parrotfish. 13-15 fish during our sunny 4 hour session. Rene was a helpful guide and made it an easy morning hauling in the fish.

Book a trip for my son and myself. We caught a handful of small fish and one really nice sized barracuda which my son was able to reel in so mission accomplished.

We had a great morning trip with Captain Rene. He was very accommodating and personable. Good conversation and his English is very good, if that’s important to you. We had a fish on within a minute of dropping the first line and Rene was very attentive, helping our 7 year old son frequently. Be advised, there’s no first mate so the captain is doing everything for the boat and the passengers. We had a wonderful experience with Rene. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We caught plenty of fish and moved around to several different locations. The sea was very flat and the boat was enjoyable. Highly recommend for a calm fishing experience for all levels.

We booked last minute and asked the captain if we could stay in calmer waters if possible. He went above and beyond to keep the boat positioned when we encountered any choppy water so that we didn’t feel sea sick! We caught our own baitfish and put them on for barracuda. Rene would point out barracudas in the water to us so we could see them chasing our fish. A great experience!
