Brandon did a great job putting us on fish, even though the fishing conditions weren’t perfect for the fish. I caught my first fish in less the five minutes once we started fishing. On a 3 day Kennebec River trip we caught some beautiful Rainbow & Brown trout, a Salmon, several Smallmouth Bass, & a few Creek Chub.  Brandon is very knowledgeable about most everything fishing and he’s professional but personable. We had a great time talking with Brandon and picking his brain about fishing. I will definitely be fishing with the “Maine Fly Guide” again. Thanks for the great trip!!!

Captain Brandon was the best guide my husband has ever hired. He’s been fishing for 61 years and has hired many guides. I’m a novice, but Brandon was knowledgeable, respectful of the environment, interesting, helpful, and funny. We both learned a lot. He was gentle with the fish as he unhooked and released them. With the fish we kept, he quickly killed them, which we appreciated.

We wanted to fish and keep the fish we could legally. Brandon respected this and took us to a lake that allowed it. He met us at a lake 1.5 hours from his house to accommodate this.

A few days before our fishing expedition, Brandon contacted me to let me know that the daytime temperatures were high, which would affect the fishing and our ability to catch fish. We opted to fish anyway, and this left a great impression on us because we really appreciated his honesty.

He has great equipment and a customized, comfortable boat. He designed his boat and had it built by a company in Minnesota, I think. The boat has a great layout, is roomy, easy to walk around, has comfortable swivel seats, and has a rail rod at either end.

We’re vacationing, but we hope to come back and hire him again. If you want a great experience, Captain Brandon is your guy. I can’t say enough good things about him.

Brandon was an awesome guide.  His knowledge of the river was outstanding.  It was a short jog to where we would be fishing.  We had the whole place to oursevles.  He put us on the fish early and we were catching consistently.  I would book again.

Second time we have done the river float with Brandon and we had a great time.  No complaints.  Quality guide with good equipment and a good attitude.  My son and his friend had fun and are looking forward to doing it again next time we are in town.  I would highly recommend giving Brandon a try and having some fun!
