We booked a full day offshore trip and got lucky with a beautiful fall day on the water. Fishing was tough unless you wanted false albacore. As many as you could want of albies. We had several 4-5 rod hookups on on the albies. Utter chaos but so much fun. Dolphins and turtles everywhere to keep us entertained between strikes.

We booked a trip with Unreel to get on some big AJ’s and get a workout. A little bit of a boat ride to get to the prime hunting grounds but on the third stop we found them. Nearly every drop resulted in a solid hookup with 30-50 lb fish. Every fish was caught on vertical jigs. We lost a few jigs but it seemed like Captain Mark had an unlimited supply of jigs on board so a quick retie and we were back in business. A couple were certainly more than that.
