Spend the day with Fin Chaser Fishing Charters and let them show you what makes the fishing in Cape Town so memorable! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mark is prepared to put you on fish.
These waters hold game fish like Longtail Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Bluefish, Skipjack, Kob, Pike, Albacore Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, and more if conditions allow. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Mark will bring you aboard a 20' Carrycat sportfishing vessel with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Fin Chaser Fishing Charters and get hooked!
