First timers, I would definitely recommend you research the captains and vessels before making a decision on who to book with while in Bradenton. I did and it led me to Capt. Louis. He's knowledgeable, friendly and will work with even the most novice of anglers to guarantee a memorable experience. But above all, have fun!

Find a guide who knows the water and has experience with landing different styles of fish. It's important that they have proper working equipment and fishing tackle. Make sure they have a contingency plan if the boat has issues. Make sure you have bug spray and sun protection.
