For anglers looking to pack their cooler, local reefs offer Grouper, Sheepshead, Cobia, Kingfish, and others! Opt for a federally-licensed charter and offshore Mahi Mahi will also be within reach.

A half day trip allows for plenty of angling action and is perfect for novice anglers and groups with kids. If you extend your trip by a couple of hours, you’ll get a better chance at maxing out on your limit, making these 3/4 day trips well worth it. Finally, full day adventures are typically reserved for offshore adventures to the federal waters.
 
In Fernandina Beach, you can find charters sprinkled throughout the town. Fernandina Harbor Marina is one of the popular locations as it gives quick access to some of the area’s best inshore spots. My three-year-old and my 11-year-old had a blast! We caught many whiting (which, by the way, were delicious!), and we caught two sharks. Oh, and we saw wild horses on the beach and dolphins! Captain Benny was super patient with the kids and with us. Def recommend with or without kids.

Captain Michael was very knowledgeable about the area, the fish and how to work with us newbies. We had a lot of fun, caught a bunch of whiting which he cleaned for us and we took to a nearby restaurant that cooked up our fresh catch. Released a few fun catches including a baby shark and a toad fish.

Had a great trip with my son. Fish catching started off slow but picked up and we caught red fish, speckled trout, black drum, and snapper. Jesse is an excellent captain, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. You will not regret going with him.

We booked a 10 hour off shore, but the sea was too rough. Instead of canceling the trip, captain recommended a 4 hour inland fishing trip. We caught some fish, captain cleaned up the fish for us. We took it to a nearby restaurant to have fish cooked for us for lunch. Michael was very good with our kids and knowledge of the area. Overall, we had a nice experience!

What a great experience for our family! Capt. Harbour kept us on the fish, cleaned them and put em on ice so we could get them home. He came highly recommended and did not disappoint! I didn't get a lot of pictures- we were enjoying the experience.

We had a wonderful experience with Captain Jesse! It was our first time fishing the rivers/jetties where we caught HUGE red fish. We love Jesse! Heโ€™s great! We caught several but got two large flounder that Jesse cleaned and filleted for us to take. Jesse has a lot of knowledge about the island history and he knows the best spots.
