Poquoson Cobia Fishing Charters

This is our extended version of the 6 hr trip for those who just want more time on the water but still stay fairly close to land. This trip will still target all the normal inshore species but will allow us to go a bit farther from the inlet to try other aspects of inshore fishing. Such as Spade, Shark or bottom fishing small reefs.It will also give us a better chance at hunting down the sometimes elusive BIG ones such as Cobia & Red Drum. Not a lot of difference from the 6 hour, Just 2 hours longer.

Want to sleep in a bit this trip may be for you! This trip takes advantage of the middle part of the day. These trips start at 9am-3pm or 10am till 4pm. Species targeted will be Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, sheepshead, flounder, spadefish or Red/ black Drum. Have young children we can mix it up with some fast action bottom fish on a reef, your trip, you decide. We prefer cash as payment but will accept Venmo, Cash APP or Zelle. Mate works for tips only and 20% is customary.

Start your morning by going fishing Nearshore and Inshore for Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Sharks, and Redfish. Capt. Kurt will supply rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses, you just need to bring your favorite snacks and drinks.

Head out to some of Virginia's nearshore wrecks and target Seabass, Flounder, Tautog, and more. Occasionally, you can find Mahi and Triggerfish. These trips are weather-dependent – if the weather is good, you can go! 5 people max

A 6-hour trip is recommended for those who would like to get it done in a shorter time with less expense. Come aboard with Captain Jeff and his first mate who works hard for his 20% gratuity.

This trip will consist of trolling the oceanfront targeting species such as spanish mackerel, bluefish, ribbonfish, cobia and red drum. Our day will be spent within 5 miles of the coast.
