Washington DC Cobia Fishing Charters

This is a 6-hour long fishing trip for Striped Bass, Redfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Crabs, White Perch, Spanish Mackerel, and Whiting. May-mid august striped bass, white perch late august-mid September cobia, red drum , bluefish , spanish mackerel

Summer is starting to heat up and so are the Spanish Mackerel and Blue Fish! Striped Bass season might be closed for a short period in time but this time of the year is the best time to catch an alternative species! Get out first thing in the morning and catch the bite of some exciting and delicious fish. Starting May 1 through May 15 is trophy season, you'll have a chance to land a 30 to 50-pound Striper during this time. After that, we will be trolling and using live bait to catch mainly striped bass. July, August, and September are when Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and occasional Cobia or Red Drum may be caught in addition to striped bass. Trips may be customized with departure, duration, etc.

This is a full day on the water of hands-on light tackle and/or fly fishing. Be prepared to cover a lot of water and fish hard!

This is the most popular trip! We will target species based on what on the crews input and the species available to target. May-June Full day rockfish and speckled trout July-sept - Spanish mackerel , Bluefish, Rockfish, Red Drum and Cobia. Oct- Dec - Best time of year for striped bass action!

During the fall fishing season anglers may keep one rockfish per person with a minimum length of 19 inches. During this season we may live line or troll for rockfish. We may also troll for bluefish, spanish mackerel, and cobia during this season.

We are one of only a few who truly target these fish! The Bay is home to some of the biggest Cobia in the world! We do not catch small fish on this trip. It’s hardcore fishing & fun!
