Canada Crab Fishing Charters

While many species of fish such as Lingcod and other species of ground fish (rock cod) are closed during this time, the Chinook Fishery remains open. Catch limit is 2 per angler. The trip price includes taxes.

The perfect trip for the avid anglers and enough time to go further and/or relocate as needed to maximize 2 tide changes. This will allow your guide to get to areas that potentially have better fishing and higher limits.

Our most popular charter, experience a full day of fishing the great local waters off Nanaimo. We will be targeting Chinook and Coho Salmon and Lingcod on this trip with the hopes of landing a trophy Chinook over 20 pounds! We can also drop crab traps at the beginning of the charter if requested. Captain Blake will provide rods, reels, and tackle, lures and bait. You will have your catch cleaned and filleted. Please bring your saltwater fishing licenses, pack your sunglasses, lunch, drinks and cameras.

This 5 hour trip will take you fishing for Salmon, Lingcod, and Halibut. It's also possible to catch Crabs and Shrimp if you would like. Don't worry if you don't have any previous experience – Capt. Raiden will teach you the basics and help you build confidence in fishing. Kids are always welcome!

Enjoy the spectacular west coast winter and spring fishery while taking advantage of our special seasonal rates. Go after west coast pacific salmon testing your skills against these hard-fighting fish. When in season, drop crab and prawn traps on the way out for some fresh Dungeness crab and Prawns! With this 12-hour trip, you can head out for Albacore Tuna or stay on the protected waters, looking for Salmon, Halibut, and Rockfish.

The half-day trip will be 4 to 5 hours. In the time that we have on the water, we will drop some Crab traps close to the fishing grounds. Then we will go do some trolling for Salmon. If time allows it we also might try and target some Lingcod and Rock Cod. Fishing off the bottom jigging for those species is the most productive way to catch them. Very short boat rides to fishing grounds to maximize fishing time.

Start your trip off by setting up a Crab trap or a few Shrimp pots, then head off for some Salmon. Salmon don't wanna bite today? Let's go catch some Rockfish! Lingcod and Snapper are always tasty! Returning to the harbor we can pick up the Shrimp and/or Crab pots we dropped earlier in the day. The adventure is yours, let me be your guide!
