Port Alberni Lingcod Fishing Charters

This is 6-hour fishing trip will see you casting your line exclusively for Salmon. You'll travel only minutes away from your departure point to protected waters that are bustling with a variety of Salmon species. You'll be going after Chinook and Coho varieties, and your captain will make sure you're decked out with top-quality fishing gear to reel them in. Just bring a fishing license.

While many species of fish such as Lingcod and other species of ground fish (rock cod) are closed during this time, the Chinook Fishery remains open. Catch limit is 2 per angler. The trip price includes taxes.

You'll fish in British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island. You'll start in Port Alberni and head out to the fishing grounds of Barkley sound for Salmon. The captain will provide your fishing equipment, while you need to bring your fishing license, snacks, and drinks.

Spend an action-packed morning fishing for Sockeye Salmon in the Alberni Inlet. This trip means great family fun for all ages. You and the captain will leave the dock at 6:00 a.m. and return at 11:00 a.m. All the rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included in the price.

It doesn't offer plenty of time to do the most we can, but in the past, we have been able to tub out on Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod in 4 hours for 2-3 people. We'll stay inshore and close, so we can do all the fishing we can within that time frame. We can target everything during this time or specific species, depending on what you want.

We will be leaving Port Alberni and heading down the Alberni Canal to Barkley Sound. It is about an hour and fifteen minutes scenic boat ride to the Salmon fishing grounds. We will then target Salmon in the morning and stay inshore Lingcod and Rock Cod in the afternoon. Upon discussion with the captain, we can drop some Crab traps in the morning as well.

Start your trip off by setting up a Crab trap or a few Shrimp pots, then head off for some Salmon. Salmon don't wanna bite today? Let's catch some Rockfish! Lingcod and Snapper are always tasty! Returning to the harbor we can pick up the Shrimp and/or Crab pots we dropped earlier in the day. The adventure is yours, let me be your guide!

Wanting to catch the evening bite these time are very productive and popular. Nothing like being out on the water and watching the sun set Lots of larger Chinook salmon around and is only getting better over the next month and a half. This is the Perfect trip with the kids.
