I was only on the boat for a hour. I don’t expect to catch anything when that happens. That you for your hospitality.

Yes, always part of any trip we take to the ocean. Just a fund day fish or not.

Be sure you get good directions to the correct landing. It took us two hours to find the boat. We paid more than double what we were supped to pay. Other than that the trip on the boat was great.

Drink dramamine before boarding to avoid sea sickness. None of the people on board got sick even though the majority were first timers.

The weather can be variable. Make sure you stay clear of lots of hawkers on the beaches. Good lines of seaweed to follow.

Be prepared if you get motion sickness to take something so you don't get sea sickness.

I would definitely recommend Dog Gone 37. Boat and crew. They will pull out all the stops to get you on the fish. But is is Fishing not catching.

Don't stay at the Bahia Principle La Romana. Stay 8n tgis town or Punta Canna. Sooo much better!! This town and where I had to meet the Captain was clean and safe with a ton of smiling faces.

Definitely pack lots of sunscreen and some motion sickness medication just in case. The waves can get rough so I would follow the captains advice and not over drink the night before!

Find local fishermen and ask around if you are looking to shore fish. Otherwise be careful of small boats on beacher trying to over charge tourists.

Only thing is make sure which type of trip you are booking, fishing vs trolling. Each can be fun but if you have a preference confirm up front.

They are there just not jumping in the boat. But its still worth going and getting what the waters have to offer.

Wear sunscreen, if you get sick, take precautions. The winds and storms form rapidly, changing the water conditions.

Be patient they call it fishing and not catchin. Just relax and learn about everything and enjoy the open water and talking with the crew. As far as sea sickness maybe a Dramamine and hr before!
