Ocracoke Redfish Fishing Charters

On this Half Day Trip you'll board the boat early and head out into some of North Carolina's most fruitful inshore waters. You'll be targeting fish that are fun and straightforward to catch and good to eat. Hopefully, you'll find yourself cleaning some Redfish, Kingfish, Bluefish, and Spanish Mackerel after a rewarding day. This is a popular trip for beginners and for families. The catches and techniques such as trolling and spinning are easy enough for beginners to get a hang of.

This is a 4-hour trip in the morning, targeting whatever species the captains think will be most successful. This trip will likely be in the sound so there will be enough time to fish! They will provide all fishing gear and tackle, just be sure to bring food, drinks, and sunscreen, and you're all set!

This 4 hour trip will take you after some tasty inshore species, such as Redfish, Cobia, Flounder, Trout, Black Drum, and many more. Beginners are welcome to join as well!

During these trips, you fish the grass flats and shoals behind Ocracoke Island. Your primary target on these trips is Red Drum. During the summer months when the water is warm, the best time to fish for this species is in the late afternoon and into the night when the temperature is cooler. The captain also catches Speckled Trout, Flounder, Pompano, Bluefish, and Sheepshead. Depending on weather conditions and the crew's preference, you can target large 30-50 lb Drum or smaller, eating-sized Drum.
