This trip will allow you to explore the waters up to 20 miles offshore and visit some of the captain's favorite spots in the area. This is a great option for anglers wanting to get a proper taste of Costa Rican fishing. Some of the most prized species available include Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, and Mahi Mahi.

This offshore adventure leaves at dawn and it'll take you about an hour to get to the desired fishing spot. Once there, you'll fish all day and head back to the port around 5:30 PM. You'll get the chance to try out a variety of techniques and target many popular species such as Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, and Marlin.

The half day trip is dedicated to coastal and inshore fishing. The target species are various: Cubera Snapper, Grouper, Roosterfish, and Wahoo are the most wanted. But you can also look for Snook, Barracuda, Pompano, Mackerel, or Amberjack. It's a good opportunity to practice different fishing techniques: trolling, jigging, live bait fishing, popping, spinning, and more. You'll enjoy an 8-hour journey to the area's offshore or inshore waters. Offshore you can fish for Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, and Dorado, while inshore waters offer you to chase Snapper and Roosterfish. The captain provides everything you need except for fly fishing gear.

The offshore trip will see you target Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi, and Tuna. Trolling is the best technique for these fish, and the onboard outrigger will greatly increase your chance to catch. Usually, you and the crew will practice catch and release offshore, and then you hook something you want to eat on the way back to Drake Bay. Snapper, Grouper, and Tuna are usually easy to find. Even a beginner can catch a 12 foot 250-pound Marlin, so don't stress about whether you'll make a catch!
