Illinois Chinook Salmon Fishing Charters

Start your morning by heading out on this half-day trip targeting species such as King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout. You'll get all the equipment – rods, reels, tackle, and lures, while Wisconsin fishing licenses can be bought on board. NOTE: Start times vary depending on the month and species being targeted, so agree with Captain on the departure time prior to the trip.

Get out on the water with family or friends, and fish Lake Michigan for Salmon, Trout, and Perch.

This trip is meant for up to 3 people only. On this 5-hour trip, you will be going after Salmon or Trout. Coho and Silver Salmon, Rainbow and Lake Trout are all in the cards. What kind of fish you catch varies by the season, but the captain will always go where the fish are. If you want to reel in something special, Captain James will let you know where you have the most chance to catch it. This is the best trip we run for the best results from May to early August. September and October we recommend a 8 hour trip. It is good for all fisherman including young ones. This trip is normally from 5:00am - 11:30am thru late May and 4:30am-11:00am thru Mid August and back to 5:00am-11:30am thru September. Other options may be made upon request depending on availability.

During our 6 hour excursion we will be trolling for 5 different species of fish. Captain Jim has been fishing Lake Michigan for over 50 years. He has won over 30 salmon tournaments, including the biggest tournament ever out of Waukegan - the Pass the Passion Tournament. Captain Jim uses his knowledge along with the best equipment to put fish in the cooler for you.
