Port Renfrew Sockeye Salmon Fishing Charters

This trip will take you fishing up to 15 miles out for the likes of huge Pacific Halibut or Chinook Salmon. Don't forget to purchase a fishing license and bring your own food and drinks.

Launching out of the Government Docks just past the Renfrew Pub, you will soon find yourself in the middle of the hottest action for Salmon and Halibut. Explore the bite around Port Renfrew and make memories that will last a lifetime. All boats are fully equipped with high quality gear and tackle for guests to experience some of the best fishing around.

On this trip, you'll be setting out first thing in the morning for the run offshore to the famed Swiftsure Banks or up the shoreline. Targeting all five species of wild Pacific Salmon and Pacific Halibut is the captain's goal every day. You'll return to the dock in mid-afternoon after a quick pull of crab traps to have Nick expertly clean your day's catch.

5 Hour 1/2 day trips are avaiable year round and are available for either early morning or early afternoon start times. Actual start times vary through the year based on daylight/sunrise and the days tides. typically starts at 6:00 a.m. and ends at noon each day. Maximum 4 guests per boat. Crab traps included if you are able to cook them after the trip.

For a full day of fishing, we usually leave the dock at 6:00am and run for an hour to Swiftsure bank and fish for salmon, halibut, and other bottom fish then return back to the boat around 2:00

Enjoy the short boat ride out the fishing grounds (under 10 minutes) after dropping crab traps and take in the stunning views from the dance floor (fishing deck) or inside our clean, tidy, fully heated cabin. This private charter departs from our exclusive private dock. is equiped with a toilet and makes this half day trip an excellent choice for cooler mornings and family groups.
