Mid summer through October is prime time for shark fishing out of Gloucester. Porbeagle sharks up to 500 pounds, giant Thresher, Blue Sharks and Makos are all common around this time. You can do battle with these strong fighting fish on standup gear, full sized tuna rods or even light tackle.Some species are excellent for eating and can be processed for you to take home. Highly recommend Captain Riccardo and his team. We did the 16hr Tuna & shark charter and it exceeded all expectations with a constant captures. The captain and his first mate did everything to set up some epic reels with highlights including reeling in an 11 foot blue shark! Outside of this, they were a professional team with a great boat and willing to teach us "the ropes" for deep sea fishing like this. Best charter in Boston!!

Eric, did a great job creating a fun environment and putting us on the fish. He was very knowledgeable about when and where to go to get a bite then he did a good job helping us fight the big fish as well. We caught a blue shark, a large bluefin tuna, and 3 sea bass in addition to countless bait fish.

This was our second trip with Fishbucket. Excellent captain and first mate. Kept us set up with gear and bait all day. Knew when to change locations to keep the action going.
We caught and kept lots of haddock, perch, whiting, and hake and a couple of pollock, and cusk. Plenty to pack our cooler and freezer back home. Caught and released four 8' to 12'+ blue sharks.
Would definitely recommend!
