Newburyport Mako Shark Fishing Charters

This trip will see you fishing for various Shark species offshore.

Come aboard and head offshore in the Gulf of Maine to target giant Bluefin tuna, the ultimate challenge on a rod and reel. These powerful fish are an incredible challenge and stronger and more tenacious than you can imagine. There are no guarantees, but the captain and mate will work with you and give you the best chances of landing one. Up to four guests are welcome.

Spend the entire day fishing for Bluefish and Striped Bass. You'll be provided with all the necessary fishing gear as well as Captain Paul's expert advice on how to hook 'em all up.

Up to 6 guests are welcome aboard for the ultimate challenge on a rod and reel. Head out to the Atlantic and battle it out with some incredible monster Tuna. These powerful fish are a thrilling challenge as you try to reel in a beast. There are no guarantees. But your experienced crew will prepare everything to give you the best chance of landing one. **choose tuesday friday or saturdays to take home tuna under 73" or choose sunday monday Wednesday thursdays to harvest tuna over 73" that will be sold.

Your trip starts by traveling out of the river to catch live bait. You and the captain will then bring it to Striper fishing grounds and try to catch Bass. At the end of the day, you can also go and check Lobster traps on our way back if you want to! Trip start time may vary a little due to tide and conditions so we can have our best shot at a successful day.

We'll go offshore for either Haddock/Cod, Tuna, or shark fishing depending on the season. All gear will be provided. (Minimum time is 8 hours) Please note all trips 6 hours or longer will have a 20% gratuity added to the total cost of the trip

Exactly what it sounds like. We are going huntin’ for the ultimate ocean predator (Full disclosure: it is our goal to safely release and de-hook every single shark that we catch). This is about as thrilling as it gets, it is not for the faint of heart. Trip runs offshore between 5-20 miles. We put out several rods at a time but, this is a group fishing activity as well as an experience. Tagging in is a necessity, as these fish tend to be brutish.

Step aboard for an unforgettable day of big-game fishing in the deep, cool waters off the New England coast. After departing from the harbor, we’ll steam several miles offshore to prime shark grounds where the Gulf of Maine drops into deeper, colder water. On these trips we often encounter blue sharks, porbeagle sharks, a close cousin of the mako; or the dramatic, long-tailed thresher shark, famous for its acrobatic leaps and tail-whipping power.

We will be going after as much groundfish as we possibly can with a chance of Shark, Tuna, Halibut, and much more! Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
