Depending on your preferences and the bite, you'll be going after a variety of offshore species, such as, Red Snapper, Triggerfish, Lane Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Mahi, King, and Spanish Mackerel. The best part of your day will be spent however you choose on this trip. Whether it's Gag Grouper, snappers, or if you prefer some bigger game fish, such as Sailfish and big Amberjacks, your captain will take you offshore. You can also choose this trip during the Red Snapper season. Catch bigger Red Snapper by going farther as well as we get more days due to federal license! Sometimes we catch mahi mahi on this trip but it is only when objects or sargasm grass is closer in. Mahi trips are 8 or longer.
This trip is in the Gulf of Mexico. Go nearshore (nine-miles, state water) and target Florida's Red Snapper! Also on the menu: Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Triggerfish, Pompano, and all kinds of Groupers! Florida Wildlife announces the exact season dates mid-Spring each year.
