A lot of fishermen from Quepos was competing to fish Dorado, and i was lucky to take part of the completion. I booked a full day fishing with Hildago and we caught 4 Dorados and one Spanish Mackerel, and the size of Dorados was quite big. The captain and the crew were great. I really recommend them.

Captain Ricardo and first mate Christian are excellent! Ricardo is a good coach and is patient. He knew i wanted to check the Rooster Fish box and set out immediately to pursue the fish i wanted most. I went 2 for 4 on the Roosters. He did not waste time in any spot which was unproductive for more than 20-30 minutes and found the fish. A great day, 2 Roosters, 1 large Jack, and 2 Black Tips. We dropped at least 3 big Spanish Mackerel.

We enjoyed our family fishing trip ( kids ages 9, 12) with Ricardo on Idra 2 very much! He was a great captain, provided help when we needed it and stepped back when we didn't. We caught barracuda and Spanish mackerel. Restaurant at the marina cooked the mackerel for us-- it was delicious. I would highly recommend!

We did a half day and a full day trip and caught a total of 6 fish. 1 barracuda, 2 Spanish mackerels, a big jack cravelle, a huge Mahi, and a nice Rooster fish. Also had a decent Mahi on that got off. Although the bite was definitely slow I would book with these guys again because they are affordable and were super nice and professional and we did catch a couple of nice quality fish! Captain knows his boat, ride was smooth.Thanks again guys we enjoyed it!

What an incredible day of fishing with Elier and his first mate! They were super helpful and personable from the beginning of the process of booking all the way to the end of the day. It was everything we were looking for- a day of good fishing to catch fish we can eat (Spanish Mackerel) and then a little fun of catching several rooster fish with an experienced local Costa Rican fisherman. We would highly recommend this trip!!!
