Astoria Sturgeon Fishing Charters

If you want to experience the best that the waters of Astoria have to offer, and meet some new buddies at the same time, then this shared adventure offers the best of both worlds! You'll spend plenty of time out on the water, hooking into a variety of Salmon species, Kokanee, Steelhead, Sturgeon, and whatever else is biting, and will also have the chance to socialize with your fellow anglers as you cast off. Your captain will provide rods, reels, bait, and tackle, so all you need to bring is a license.

This is a great trip for you if you want to do some light fishing in the rivers or the inshore ocean waters on a shared boat. You'll target Rainbow Trout, Salmon, and Sturgeon, depending on the season and the tide. The captain will give you all the information regarding the target species in advance. You should get a fishing license for all trips. All the gear will be provided on board, all you need is some snacks and rain gear depending on the weather.

You will have 7 hours of fun on the mighty Columbia River as you chase Coho and Chinook Salmon during the best time of the season! Enjoy getting to fish the different tide swings and give yourself the best opportunity to catch fish with a full day adventure!

On half day trips, you'll be picked up at 6 a.m. at a selected destination – the captain will give you one day's notice on where that will be, as it will depend on where you're going to fish that day. After fishing, you'll pull in the lines at noon and head back to the dock.

These prehistoric beasts put on a show and fight hard. Some of these fish have been known to reach over 10' in length. We'll fish for them up on tidal flats and in ditches low in the estuary. In between fish you'll be able to watch for shorebirds, seals, sea lions, harbor pourposies and every now and then a wayward orca will come into the bay.

We will be fishing the Columbia River for Sturgeon. We're out for eight hours. Departure location and time (generally 7am) is flexible and will be determined by the captain. I consider bite and tide timing for your best experience.
