Astoria Sturgeon Fishing Charters

This trip marks the Sturgeon fishing opener on the lower Columbia River, available from May 11 to June 4 on Wednesday, and on Saturday and Monday, June 30. Keeper Sturgeon size is 44-50 inches.

You will start out your 8 hour fishing trip on the Columbia River, near Astoria Oregon, targeting Chinook Salmon, Coho or catch and release Sturgeon. Capt. Dave will provide all the gear, you just need a fishing license and a lunch.

Book this trip if you're up for spending a whole day on the water on a shared charter. You'll target seasonal species like Chinook and Coho Salmon, Sturgeon, and Rainbow Trout. There's always something to target, so depending on the time of year and the tide, you'll get information on the target species in advance. You can go either river fishing or on the inshore ocean waters, since they're 6 miles apart in this area. All you need is a fishing license, some rain gear, food, drinks, and you're all set!

On half day trips, you'll be picked up at 6 a.m. at a selected destination – the captain will give you one day's notice on where that will be, as it will depend on where you're going to fish that day. After fishing, you'll pull in the lines at noon and head back to the dock.

Half-day trips are 6hrs. Often times starting around 6am-12pm (times will vary) I will pick you up in my boat at an agreed upon time and place and our day will start! I have room for 5 total passengers. Book a trip with 3 friends/family and I’ll hold the other seat for free! Making it a fun and enjoyable experience with your favorite fishing partners.
