Wanchese Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters

During the months of December, January, February, and March our Bluefin Tuna season takes place. Bluefin is the largest of the Tuna family. Imagine hooking into and fighting a fish over 300+ lbs! If you are looking for the ultimate thrill – this is the trip for you.

On a Gulfstream full day trip, you venture out 40 miles to the waters of the Gulfstream. There you seek to find Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Mahi, Sailfish, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, and anything else that may bite the hook. Typical departure times are discussed with the client but will usually be around 5:00 a.m. You typically return in the late afternoon or whenever the boat is full!

On this trip we venture out to the Gulfstream 40 miles offshore. There we will set out and troll for Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, and anything else that is biting. We could hook up on a big shark! Capt. will discuss departure time, but usually this trip leaves the dock at 5 am. and will return in the late afternoon. Bring plenty to drink and eat. We have what you need to fish! ***PLEASE NOTE: A fuel surcharge may apply if the cost of fuel increases.

This trip will take you after Spanish Mackerel, Drum, Cobia, and Shark. This nearshore trip is a great way for beginners to learn the basics and start catching trophies.

Leave Oregon Inlet and fish all day in the amazing blue waters of the Gulf Stream on a beautiful Blackwell 40' Express boat. Get in the action while catching everything from Tuna (all types) to Mahi Mahi to all types of billfish. Keep in mind the mate works for tips: 15-20% of trip cost. Fish cleaning is provided at an additional cost.

Offshore full-day trips target Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin/Billfish, and Tile fish(bottom fishing) 20% tip of full bill is customary to mates

This is a full-day offshore trolling and/or bottom fishing trip. Target species will be determined by time of year, weather/water temps, and of course the customer's preference. These could be anything from that big Blue Marlin you've always dreamed about to a box full of delicious Yellowfin Tuna or Mahi. The trip runs around 10-12 hours.

Get ready, we are going to the Gulfstream! When you get to the fishing grounds, be ready to reel in some Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, and/or Billfish! Pack your own food and drinks and leave the rest to Roanoke Sportfishing!

Hop on board early in the morning and get ready to have a fun-filled day with some of the best! Able to carry up to 24 passengers. This is a private charter. Approximately a 30-40 mile run offshore. All bait and tackle are provided and the Captain and mate will do their best to get you on the fish! The Captain has 35 years of experience and the mate has over 20 years of experience as well. On full-day trips, we head out of Oregon Inlet, traveling 40–50 miles to the Gulfstream. From May to late September, target mahi, wahoo, black/yellowfin/bigeye tuna, white marlin, sailfish, and the legendary blue marlin. Trips may run slightly longer than 12 hours. All tackle is provided, and we don't leave until the box is full and our customers are smiling. Get ready for an unforgettable OBX fishing adventure!
