A 4-hour charter in Kona is typically enough time to get into some solid fishing. We usually troll lures to cover more ground and increase our chances of bites. If we find bait, we may switch techniques, but time is limited so we stay efficient. We consistently catch fish on these trips, targeting mahi-mahi, tuna, ono (wahoo), spearfish, and sometimes billfish, along with other table fish when conditions allow.

This trip is a great option for newer anglers who want to spend more time on the water or more experienced fishermen who want to target a variety of big game fish. You'll reach seriously deep waters close to shore, but 6 hours allows you to head further out to where the big boys play. You'll target hard-fighters such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin, and plenty more. Your trip includes fishing gear, and bait – live, dead, or artificial, depending on your captain's choice.

The 8-hour trip is a good choice if you're after that trophy catch! The waters here are home to giant Pacific Blue Marlin, Tuna, Spearfish, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo. It's bound to be a rod-bending day! Once we've covered the surface waters, we'll switch to bottom fishing to round out the experience and target additional species.
