Avalon Yellowtail Amberjack Fishing Charters

This trip is a Catalina Island trip that may include the backside of the island. All fishing is based on weather conditions and what is biting.

You and the captain will start fishing in the first 5-10 minutes after you depart. The techniques you can use to catch include trolling, bait fishing, drifting, bottom fishing, spearfishing, and more. The trip starts at 7:00 a.m. and lasts for 8 hours.

You'll fish for various exotic species. Yellowtail is considered California’s best fighting fish, White Seabass is the most sought-after game fish on the Southern California Coast, while Tuna can often be found going to or from the island. The available species also include Calico Bass, Bonito, Barracuda, and Sheepshead. Note: Customers must purchase a California fishing license prior to the trip.

Start early in the morning at catalina or san clemente. You’ll will have a fun trip with plenty of opportunities to catch fish. As the captain takes care of all the fishing gear, you should just bring your licenses, drinks, and snacks.

An all-inclusive trip (other than fishing licenses/ food) for up to 6 passengers. Great for those who want extra time fishing but don't want to spend all day on the water.

Spend a few more hours at the beautiful island and take advantage of the late afternoon bite. You will be targeting Yellowtail, Calico Bass, Rockfish, Barracuda, Bonito, and sometimes when crossing channels you can run into Dorado or Tuna during the July-September months. This trip can consist of a 8-hour day for Bass,Rockfish, Barracuda, and whats biting inshore given the season. Fishing has been amazing close to home! Take a trip to the beautiful Catalina Island aboard a beautiful fishing yacht. This island offers great fishing opportunities for chasing Yellowtail, Bonito, Barracuda, Bass, Rockfish, and many other fine species. You and the captain will depart at 6:00 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m.

Fishing outside the break wall up to 10 miles out to target Bass, Rockfish, Sculpin, Sheepshead, Barracuda, Halibut, and if lucky, you can get Yellowtail on summer days.
