- Our licensed captains at UpScale Anglers know the thrill of “getting on the fish.” Owner and Captain, Tyler Hatfield, is a seasoned guide who began his career in his home state of Iowa as a hunting guide before moving to our coastal paradise eight years ago. His passion for hunting and fishing stretches back to his earliest memories, and owning his own fishing charter has always been a lifelong dream. Even on his days off, Tyler can be found scouting the waters for the best spots to catch Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Sharks. One of his personal favorite catches was a 6-foot Blacktip Shark in the summer of 2022, which leapt out of the water multiple times during the fight. UpScale Anglers is a family-owned business and has carefully chosen our crew to make sure we not only have experience but personality. Our crew has a passion for fishing and welcome the opportunity to share that passion and their experience with you. We strive to make sure each and every customer experiences the thrill of fishing in Galveston and leaves with memories to last a lifetime. - Love throwing baits out, either big baits or small shrimp. Also like throwing a little artificial for flounder as well.
