Took my daughter fishing for her 21st birthday and had a blast. Everyone made us feel relaxed and welcomed. Captain Brent was great and very informative with both fishing and The Big Island. TJ the deck hand was awsome and funny. My daughter caught a Shortbill spearfish. Captain Brent suggested for us to take the fish to Ocean seafood and Chinese restaurant. They cooked if 5 ways and was delicious. I would highly recommend booking the Reel Escape if you’re on the Big Island and want to make a core memory.  100% Highly Recommend!!!

We had a great day of fishing named kona and was able to catch a few great fish. The captain and crew were great. People who enjoy their job and want to make sure that their guests have a wonderful time.  The fishing equipment was very nice and worked well along with the boat.  Win on a five hour fishing trip and was able to catch two fish and sorry to say one larger one that got away.  The crew was very helpful, making sure we understood what we had to do and had a great time with them.  Definitely would recommend them.

Everything on the trip was top-notch. The crew was amazing! Not just because we caught a blue Marlin!! But my wife started to feel ill and they took exceptional care of her the entire time. She alone said because of how they took care of her she would 100% go again They gave us so much information about the island and generally cared for our experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch crew and experience. Thank you Brent and J for an experience I will share and talk about forever.

We had an absolutely incredible day out on the water with our Reel Escapes Hawaii charter! From start to finish, the experience was everything we hoped for and more.

The highlight of the trip was the adrenaline-pumping fight with a massive blue marlin that lasted over an hour — an unforgettable battle that we were not expecting. While we didn’t get to keep the marlin, we were thrilled to be able to take home a smaller and delicious short billed spearfish we caught earlier in the day.

The crew (Jason and Ian) were phenomenal — knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly accommodating, especially with our kids (ages four and six). They even brought along live bait so our little ones could enjoy some bottom fishing on the way back to the harbor. Their patience and excitement made the trip extra special for the whole family.

The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the gear was clearly top-quality. Most importantly, the crew’s positive attitude and passion for what they do really stood out — they made sure we were having fun and feeling like part of the action the entire time.

If you’re looking for an adventure, some serious fishing action, and a great day on the water, this is the charter to book. Highly recommend!

If you ever make it to the beautiful island of Kona, you must check out this fishing excursion. The water is so beautiful and blue Marlin were we caught. Captain Noah was extremely professional. He knew the water as well kept us informed on what he saw in his and observed. I’ve been fishing all over South America, and never have. I’ve gotten the instructions that First mate Rooster gave about the fighting chair. By the way, the fighting chair is the best I ever sat in. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
