Capt. Alfonso and his first mate Mariano were top notch! Extremely personable, and knowledgeable of the local waters. We caught some Bonito, a Black Fin Tuna and several Triggerfish. Sadly we didn’t catch anything big, mainly due to my struggle to figure out the proper hook set technique for fishing deep water. But Alfonso and his mate were very patient and kept coaching me. They recommended the restaurant where they cooked some of our catch! WOW! The food was awesome! If you are coming to Playa del Carmen, I highly recommend the 6 hour trip with Capt. Alfonso!

4hr morning trip was perfect. Quick easy fishing trip. Alfonso and his team have everything you need. Cold drinks and great stories and plenty of laughs. Would definitely recommend and will be returning to fish with Alfonso again!

Alphonso was so much fun, teaching my son who loves to freshwater fish everything about what we were doing!  Caught some great fish, and had a restaurant right at the dock to cook it up for lunch!  Highly recommend!  Wish we could go back out tomorrow!

This fishing trip was one for the books. Alfonso and his crew took good care of me and my son. They were patient with him and catching fish. We started the day with one goal in mind and was able to land a bill fish. I highly recommend using Alfonso and will definitely come back and use him again.

We booked our tour with Alfonso ahead of our stay in Playa del Carmen. It was such a great experience going on the boat with Alfonso and his crew. He is super nice and friendly and speaks very English well, which was convient since my Spanish is far from being decent. We did the tour starting from 1PM. The weather was great and we caught lots of (big) fish (Mahi Mahi). When arriving back at the beach we watched his crew filet the fish and then got the fish cooked in the restaurant at the beach. Be aware the restaurant is on the pricier side though, which is fine though, cause the food was really yummy and we got the whole fish prepared for only the two of us, so we invited Alfonso to eat with us and had a great time. Otherwise you can also take the fish to your place, but since we stayed in the hotel, I would recommend getting your fish prepared by a local restaurant. All in all it was a perfect day and I would definitely recommend you 100% to book with Alfonso to have a guaranteed good day on the boat. If I am coming back I will definitely book again!
