We went out on the Rockenreel for a quick fishing trip. The purpose was a family outing so my son could catch his first fish. Captain Steve and Thor made sure my son caught that fish and then some. The boat was fun to be on it was fast!  We had a fun time getting to know the crew and their back stories and just having a day out on the ocean. I was fortunate enough to book a trip with Captain Steve for myself and a friend with his kids. The best captain and trup I have been on in a long time, he is a fishing machine. Such a great cruise with Cap’N Steve. What a rad and knowledgeable guy. He took us out the harbor and along the beautiful Dana Point/Laguna coastline. He let us take everything in ourselves but also pointed out some really cool things we probably would have missed without his experience. You can tell he really loves what he does. My 14 (son) and 21 (daughter) year olds both had a a blast - as did I ! Captain Steve and his amazing deck hand made sure we were constantly reeling in fish.  We also followed an huge school of dolphin. Our first time fishing in the Pacific.  We are already talking about next year !  Trip was totally on time, boat has everything and would be great for younger kids or group of adults !

The Sun was shining, the water was 74 degrees and calm, and CLEAN. The chum was there, by the bucket full, and the bait was lively Mackerel. We fished the Ridge and the Hospital Hole and beyond, chumming all the way.
