You can’t ask for more when you go out with Justin.  Very knowledgeable of the area, ecosystem and the history of fishing on Lake Ontario.  He is smart and kind.

Justin provided one heckuva day for us, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and more importantly knows where the fish are. Can’t wait to get back.

Justin is a very knowledgeable captain. He put us on the fish within the first 30 minutes of dropping the lines in. Everyone on the boat caught a king salmon over 10lbs with our biggest being about 18lbs! He’s a very down to earth, personable guy. He was extremely good and patient with my kids ( 8 and 9 years old). Most captains aren’t willing to give too much information on how they plan to target these fish, water temps, depth, time of year, presentation, ect. But justin treated us as if we’ve been good friends for years! I’d highly recommend OVER THE RAIL fishing to anyone who wants a captain that even if we didn’t catch fish was a pleasure to be in a boat with all day!

Our Ice Fishing Trip with Captain Justin was an excellent experience. It was our first time ice fishing and he took the time to explain each step of the process, make recommendations for gear and supplies, and explain every method of ice fishing. He provided many tips and tricks for tip up fishing, dead sticking, and jigging, including demonstrating how to jig with the help of a fish finder. He and the assistant guide set up many tip ups and checked them often to make sure they were still baited. When the fish stopped biting at our first location he offered to switch us to a new location where we caught over a dozen fish, which he filleted for us. Throughout the trip he checked in often to make sure we were comfortable and warm, and had a heated shanty set up for us to take breaks in.
