We did the 3 hour “beginner” trip and despite not catching any fish, we still had lots of fun cruising around with Matt and learning all about the fishing ways of Oahu. He was knowledgeable, professional and truly tried his best to catch some fish. Would definitely rebook and hope for better results! Thanks Matt!

Captain Matt was great; seemed like he really knew the Hawaiian waters, amd worked with the given weather conditions. Yanked out a 40lbs Yellowfin tuna (in February!) which was great, then also pulled a 15lbs bluefin trevally. Overall an enjoyable fishing trip. Would book again and recommend.

Matt will be my go to guide for all fishing trips on the island. Fishing out of Haleiwa is the way to go. Not only do we always catch fish, but we see tons of amazing wildlife every time I’ve gone with him. The Lucky Lass is hands down best bang for your buck excursion available.

We had a great trip with Captain Matthew! He located several tuna schools, but unfortunately none of them wanted to bite. On the way back to the harbor, the reel finally started screaming and we managed to catch a marlin! It was one of the best experiences of my life as a passionate angler.
