What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Charlevoix, Michigan for the first time?

It’s a beautiful place. Just remember it’s called fishing and not killing. Captain Art will do his best to put you on the fish. We had a successful day. Remember to tip your Captain. He works hard!

Expect to catch fish but also expect lulls in between. In August the fish are still moving in close to shore one minute and heading for deeper water the next. In the morning the fish were in close to shore. When the sun came up they headed for deep water. You can also expect to catch a variety of fish. There’s coho, chinook and Lake Trout.

Great time of year to be on the water. We had 70 degree temps and fairly calm seas. Lots of action.

No one in our group had much experience with fishing… That is not a problem on this charter… They made it easy!

Don't park in the marina parking lot even if it is empty like it was for us so early in the morning. You may get a parking ticket like we did.
