What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Savannah, Georgia for the first time?

Be flexible. Your guide cannot control the weather so have an open mind and follow their suggestions for your best experience.

If your fishing in the summer just be aware that the fishing here is much better in the fall especially for in shore

July in Savannah is HOT. That’s why we wanted a night trip. The sunset and weather were out if his control, but man it was beautiful!

I only put “good” because I know that the fishing is even better in different seasons such as fall.

Would get advice first on best season to fish and type. Book your holiday around those dates. Learned fishing better and best November and December when it's cooler.

Being open to different styles, techniques, and species will increase your odds when the water is warm.

Fishing inshore in Savannah is generally a GREAT experience, which is why our dud of a trip is still confusing to me.

Best time for me is morning during this time of the year not cold and it warms up towards the end of the charter but it’s not beating down on you.

Captain Norvin provides everything you will need. I highly recommend him for your first time so you will have a great experience.

Capt stated best times were fall, conditions are unpredictable for this time of year. Cold, rain and wind affected the outcome but we were still able to catch fish with little work.

If there’s rain forecasted that does not mean fish won’t bite. Get with captain Traub and he’ll put you on some hitters.

Weather was great! Had a great time on the boat and felt very taken care of. It was a great time and would do it again!

Fishing in Savannah in September was some of the best fishing we ever had. Everything was so active and the temperatures were beautiful.

The trip was great just wishing I had been here at cooler time of year. Possibly later in the fall would be better fishing.

Summer time can be slow but the guides at Miss Judy's charter service are top notch and do everything they can to get you on fish.

Don’t go in expecting a huge bite in July the water is warm but with the right conditions and spot placement you may have some luck

Good selection of fish to catch. Go early in the morning to take advantage of the perfect weather to be out on the boat ripping lip!

Fish were mot biting probably the worst day ever for us who are experienced fishermen. Guide was excellent and helpful

Shades, a good hat, and sun screen along with a great attitude and remember that even when they are not hitting, it is better than a day in the office.

Be open minded about the weather and the experience in general. Go to have fun!!! A bad day fishing is ALWAYS better than a good day at work. It's called fishing, not catching?

Reach out to the captain before booking and get peak times to improve probability of catching fish

The tide during our trip made it tough but the Savannah area we fished is obviously a great spot.

Not quite shark season but we had a great haul of redfish, trout and sheepshead.

Have an idea what specific species you are interested in catching before you go

It’s cold. There’s no guarantee to catch fish. But when you do it makes the day worth it
