What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Bayfield, Wisconsin for the first time?

Relax and enjoy the trip. Second year we have done a charter out of Bayfield, and both trips were great with good results. I would highly recommend a charter to anyone that has been thinking about going out on one.

The boat and crew were great. The fishing was a bit slow. We managed to land 3 fish and had a few get away. All-in-all it was a good half day on the lake and my guests enjoyed the experience. I would use them again.

It's best to fish in Spring or Fall. And early morning or afternoon. We fished in the middle of the summer, and the middle of the day. We would have caught more fish if we had followed the best fishing times above.

Hoops dockside for lunch is a must! Fresh whitefish from the morning catch is fried or blackened and served with either fries or pilaf and cole slaw.

Bayfield is a tourist town, so the weekends are very busy, but the charter is south of town a few miles and not so busy.

Get there early! Don’t be late! Understand it’s fishing and to be kind to your Captain!

Water is still cool so bring appropriate clothing and while I didn’t need it rain gear should always be with you. The boat has everything appropriate and equiptment is excellent .

Just be smarter enough to prepare for unpredictable weather in June. Other than that, this is a fantastic area to go fishing, and Captains Sean and Savanna are true professionals.

Dress in layers!!!! It was 63 on shore but 44 on the lake. Wind is almost aways another factor. Dress in layers!

I sure would. I plan on booking another trip the end of September. It should be a good time going after the salmon.

Weather can change quickly. Bring warm clothes to wear over your shorts/tank top

Fishing is fishing, as they say a day on the water is better than a day at the office.

Follow your guides instructions, dress warm for early spring like weather, and wear sunscreen.

Come prepared for all weather and you never know what the fish are going to do.
