What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the first time?

Well I thought there would be bigger fish, but i guess for August we caught a alot.but this was first trip in Atlantic city and the captian was very helpful and and alot of fun would definitely recommend him for your fishing trip

Go out on a small group charter instead of a big party boat. You’ll catch more fish, learn more, and have a better experience.

If going deep sea remember the boat will sway and so.e may get a bit queasy. Take along some ginger ale, or some Gatorade.

Know the specific size requirements and species what can kept if you’re not just fishing to catch and release.

I’m not the local fishing guide, but it seems like mornings are a better time to go this time of year.

If you're by yourself this is an excellent opportunity to hire in inexpensive and knowledgeable captain that can fish to your skill level

Water was a little choppy, which can be rough on some. Some small children would not have been happy unless they were huckleberry Finn types...

Look at the wind speed well in advance so that you can target any and all available fish. June, as I hear, is a better fishing month.

The weather was perfect. It was sunny, cool and just overall a beautiful day. In June, there are more fish to catch in the ocean than the bay.

Fishing was tough but it was most likely just they day. It was really cold for a June day and the winds were substantial

Get a captain like Michael Decarlo who is experienced in the waters and knows where to find the fish

There are so many snags from the shore that a trip on a charter was more than worth it

Almost everyone caught a few fish some where not keepers but in total we left with 14 keepers

Avoid having a full stomach, the motion of the boat at sea can make you feel poorly.

Wreck fishing was amazing. Literally every time we dropped a line we caught something in seconds.
